Artworks / Quartering

From video images of a Norfolk church taken from the cardinal points of the compass I have made animated abstract drawings and layered them with colour, clips of film, abstractions made from walking figures and a soundtrack made from ambient sounds.
We use landmarks to fix our position. Here we are standing inside a landmark building looking outwards and at the same time looking inwards. This work raises questions of orientation within space and within the cycles of existence.
