Who can submit to THE END? Artists, photographers, designers, architects and creatives, regardless of age, sex, occupation or geographic location.
Deadline Projects can be presented directly online no later than 15 October 2012, midnight. No entry fees will be accepted after the deadline unless motivated by special circumstances and communicated to the organizer before the deadline. Some participating works’ entries might be dated after the closing date due to delays in upload of artwork.
Selections & Exhibition Ten projects will be selected by the US-based curator Gean Moreno and announced by 1 November. The projects will be exhibited at Miami Beach Regional Library, Miami Beach, USA, from 5-8 December during library operating hours and inclusive during the Art/Basel/Miami Beach Fair. Following the announcement of selected projects, Gean Moreno will decide whether some or all of works in each selected project will be exhibited, having taken into account the nature of all other selected projects and available exhibition space. On 5 December at the opening of the show, Gean Moreno will announce the name of the prize-winning project.

Entry fee Online submissions: € 40 for each project, € 30 for each additional project (for submissions sent by post which includes staff uploading text and images add € 30 for each project). Up to ten images or videos can be uploaded for each project and can include works in different media: photography, painting, video, installation, etc. To submit: Loginto to your user account in Celeste Network, click on the box ‘THE END’, pay online the submission fee, and start uploading images and text relating to your project. Entry fees are not refundable.
Catalogue A catalogue containing images and presentation texts from each of the ten selected projects, as well as brief artists’ bios, and a critical text by Gean Moreno on the theme will be published.
Transport Selected artists invited to exhibit their works at The END in Miami, will be responsible for their personal travel costs, and all costs related to the transport of their project’s works/materials to and from the exhibition, and construction costs of installations if these are necessary. Artwork will be insured only while on the Library’s premises – the Library nor Celeste Network will be held responsible for artwork lost or damaged while in transit. Artwork should be delivered to Main Library, Attn: Art Services & Exhibitions, 101 West Flagler Street, Miami, Florida, USA 33130, no later than Monday November 26.
Rights Artists retain copyright of all works and texts they upload, but Celeste Network will be authorized to use these materials for communication and promotion purposes only: to create the catalogue or other promotional material, and in Celeste's websites. Artists who submit works to The END declare and accept that they are the authors of the images they upload and possess all rights to use these images, including musical scores if used. Artists guarantee that they have received permission and authorization, as required by law, from persons represented in their photographic or video works, or from their legal representatives. The organizer is not and cannot be held responsible for any dispute among artists and persons or third parties who might claim author’s rights over images of a work.
*Celeste Network has by Italian law to hand over to the Italian state 25% of prize money for tax purposes. This sum will be withheld by the organizer from each prize winner. A prize winner who is non-resident in Italy can request the Italian tax authorities to have his or her tax advance recredited in his/her country of residence, this is a suggestion and in no way represents a certainty guaranteed by Celeste Network.
