Crowdfunding

To improve air quality in our cities and understanding issues related to pollution, we invite you to contribute to the two projects selected by the curators of Art Rounds, Andrea Bruciati and Roberto Pasini.

The projects, 'La casa dell'aria' by Michele Amato and 'Operette vegetali' by Alice Padovani are promoted by the University of Verona and by ArtVerona fair.

La casa dell'aria, Michele Amato

La casa dell'aria, Michele Amato

I wouldn't at all be surprised if in the near future, I came across a box-like structure with the inscription 'The House of Air.' Spotlessly clean filtered air, non-allergenic and cleansing, smooth with 'sea breeze' or 'alpine freshness' essences, to inhale in a few seconds with disposable masks at a cost accessible to all!

We cannot survive without a single blade of grass! A multitude of small boxes, similar to ancient herbals. An installation that emphasizes the beauty of the everyday: thin stems, herbs, small wildflowers arranged as precious objects of nature to cherish and preserve to remind us of our fragility. Small perfectly formed plants, full of life, that over the months will dry up leaving only a faded memory of their beauty.

Open Call

Art Rounds is a free, open call for projects on the theme of the city and oxygen, and a crowdfunding opportunity in Celeste Network and at Art Verona Fair for funds to create projects.

Theme

The city and oxygen. For an urban environment in which we can breathe more easily.
Artists are invited to provide critical solutions to urban pollution. Among the main culprits are cars and motorcycles, but also the effects of industry and personal behavioural patterns, combine to reduce the quality of life in our cities compared with environments in which pollution levels are lower or absent. By addressing these delicate issues, artists have the opportunity to be bearers of a creative and environmentally friendly message, designed to awaken the consciences of fellow citizens.

Jury

The jurors Andrea Bruciati and Roberto Pasini will choose two projects for Art Rounds.

By 1 October 2015 the two selected projects will be announced online.
