Thanks to the 'River to River, Florence Indian Film Festival' a selection of videos submitted to Celeste Prize 2016 on India or themes related to Indian culture will be shown in a new, video art section to be screened during this year's festival, 3-8 December.


Open call for videos to be shown in a new video art section of the 16th edition of the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival, Italy, 3 - 8 December 2016.

Selectors will be looking for contemporary videos which tackle themes related to Indian culture in its widest possible sense.

Entry to River to River selection is free, and is open to video artists, filmmakers and photographers worldwide. To be considered for the video art selection at the Festival you must first submit your work in the ‘Video & Animation’ section of Celeste Prize 2016, deadline for entries is 30th June, entry fee 50 €.

Video art selections for the Festival will be made by Celeste Network and the Festival, to be announced in September 2016.

Over the years, the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival has hosted important films, directors and actors, including last year, the film director Deepa Metha, actor Irrfan Khan and Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan.

The open call is a collaboration between River to River Florence Indian Film Festival and Celeste Network, to promote Indian video art.
