Bwette Daniel Gilbert aka Gilbert Frank Daniels, is one of the co-founderof the community dance Jericho Breakers (http://jerichobreakers.webs.com) that is empowering youth through performing arts. He has also a community practioner / activist at Bavubuka Foundation, has taken up the challenge to create a positive voice for the youth & himself through committing time at Bavubuka Foundation to learn various skills like photopraphy, community journalism, graphics designs among other skills that has opened up opportunities for hi s life to work with local & international youth communities through these skills. His commitiment in community work earned him to be chosen as one of the finalist in the youth enterprenuers in Young Achievers Awards 2010. Gilbert strongly believes that through his passion for these artistry, he can fully represent his community & country through community activities he engages himself into to bring about peace, love, equality and unity. Gilbert's commitiment with community work has also earned an opportunity to work with other youth accross the globe exercising the skill of journalism with YOUTH JOURNALISM INTERNATIONAL (http://youthjournalism.org) ... He is also extending the skills he has learnt from BAvubuka Foundation to high schools with an aim of helping the young, talented youth of Uganda gain confidence through journalism & photography in promoting their culture & their voice on a global scale. Also working on an ICT vision of CHANGE IS VISIBLE in partnership with Bavubuka Foundation & Heart In Action Enterprises. Its a collaborative youth project with African young Change-Leaders, in partnership with Bavubuka Foudation Community, ABAFRICA and Vijana Amani Pamoja (VAP). Bwette is one of the the youth leader in Uganda who will has gotten the opportunity to work with influential world leader on an ICT vision on Read My Lips LIVE-CHANGE IS VISIBLE for Africa empowering young leaders of Africa to change their communities. One done at MoCADA (Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) New York) this year 2011 and the other held at Uganda NationalCultural Theatre 2011. These projects seek to impact skills to youth still in high school and communities who are passionate about photography and journalism activities to help them learn to express themselves through these arts.
