Biography

Journalist, historian of art and music, art critic and senior music and indipendent art curator.

She has curated over 300 exhibitions in Italy and abroad, publishing more than 100 catalogs, monographs and essays.

From 1990 to 1994 he worked as the director and set designer Pier Luigi Pizzi.

In 2005 and 2006 was the third Berlusconi government adviser on financing of cultural projects (Arcus).

From 2006 to 2009 he worked as the national weekly "Il Domenicale".

Since 2009 he is consultant of the Municipality of Catania for the exhibitions.

From June 2009 to October 2010, on appointment of Mariastella Gelmini, Minister of Education, University and Research, the Italian government representative on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata.

In 2009 he is the curator of the I Biennale di Rimini, making the exhibition "Altre contemplazioni. Bellezza e Tradizione del Nuovo nella pittura italiana contemporanea".

In October 2009, the French culture minister Frédéric Mitterrand named him Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, the highest French honor for cultural merits.

In September 2010 he was appointed by Mariastella Gelmini, Minister of Education, University and Research, the Italian government representative on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and Vice President thereof.
