Biography

Alessandro Demma is an art critic and independent curator. He is completing a PhD in Method and Methodology of Historic, Artistic and Archaeological Research at the University of Salerno, Italy. He has published several essays and curated various catalogues and exhibitions. Among his most recent exhibitions are: La commedia umana di Balzac. Omaggio al romanziere assoluto (Castello di Rivalta di Torino, 2009), Eroi Eroine. Iconologia e simulacro (Castello di Rivalta di Torino, 2010), Paolo Grassino. 2000… 2010 (Castello di Rivalta di Torino, 2010), Gran Torino. The crossroads of the Italian contemporary art scene (Frost Museum Miami, 2011). Alessandro Demma is currently curator of the IGAV (Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive) and he is working on a network of projects between China and the permanent collection at Castiglia di Saluzzo.
