Biography
Arianna Rinaldo is a freelance professional working with a wide range of photographic projects. She is artistic director of Cortona On The Move, an international photo festival in Tuscany, Italy. For almost 10 years she was also the director of OjodePez magazine, the only documentary photography quarterly published in Spain. Arianna began in New York in 1998 as archive director at Magnum Photos. In 2001 she became picture editor for Colors magazine in Italy, where she commissioned international photographers to produce documentary projects all over the world. Between 2004 and 2011 she was based in Milan where she workded as freelance curator for exhibitions and as photo consultant for various publications, among which she spent four years at D, the weekend magazine supplement of one of Italy’s main dailies, La Repubblica. She is a regular participant in portfolio reviews and jury panels worldwide, as well as speaker and teacher. She was part of the World Press Photo jury in 2009; Fotopress, Spain in 2012 and has been a Photolucida Critical Mass juror since 2009.
