I stem from ancient times
'Eugenia' (01-02) intervenes on both sides of a small inherited, yet untraceable portrait from the beginning of the 20th century to hit on what is at the heart of ‘identity’: a face and a name.
'Look back in' (01-02-03), a self-portrait composed with portraits of my great-great-grandmother, my great-grandmother, my grandmother and myself, directly -as in skin on skin- addresses consanguinity.
'Judith', a portrait of my daughter merged with part of the cracks in the old portrait of my untraceable relative Eugenia, wonders about the marks our ancestors left us with.
