Transformations
“Life is a drama, either you are a spectator or an actor“.
This was my motto, when I fled the ruins of the Soviet Empire and embarked on a journey, which should lead me westward at first – later going global(8 years Buenos Aires and 3 years Windhoek).
Living, working, travelling in a variety of states meant the necessity to transform and reinvent myself under very different conditions.
My biographic reality as a free artist thaught me to search for a thematic focus thus being able to connect, compare and assess and transform artisticly the reality of iconic places worldwide, that had been part of my real life with its ups and downs.
As accessories for my artistic interventions into the sphere around iconic places I used selfmade angle wings(copper-wire and cosmetic pads wrapped in cling film)and and a globe(completely made of ripped clingfilm).
Anticipating my future I created fixing points for my archives of memories by creating an artistic reality, which transforms biographical, historical and aesthetical realities –“beyondmemory“.
