Tempus Fugit
This work is a selection, part of a larger project in continuous development and shot entirely in analog with an old Holga 120N, on the relationship between Mankind and time, between Nature and time. Some subjects are portrayed with eyes closed, immortalized in a flutter of wings or from behind, to signify that we in our distraction, we separated, pulled hither and thither, torn between what lasts and what escapes - we are not aware of what is happening outside and inside of us. Beauty lost or never lived. We close our eyes, we turn our eyes away as each moment passes and we, too busy chasing the ephemeral, we are not able to live it.
The photography is used in its primordial essence, in its basic use: that of memory, memory of a time inevitable that nothing and no one can resist but also in its ephemeral duration is able to give, to those who can grasp it, a beauty that
can cross over the limits of time.
