My project, Still Dreams, contains a mixture of found archival images and recent photographs I've taken. In a process I've been developing over a period of many years I embed each image in wax. Wax is literally a sealant and preservative, stopping the flow of change through time, while it physically and metaphorically clouds our vision, and limits our perception which alters our sense of time. The play between new and old, clear and hazy, memory and fabrication fascinates me.
