A Song of terrils
‘Terrils’ in French means a h¬eap of coal waste found outside the coalmines, remembered by the locals as ‘Black pyramids’. These black pyramids, now covered with lush green trees, whispers the sentiments of the town as the locals reminiscence the glory of the old mining town in their personal memories. The peculiar aspects of the town surfaces in the conversations as the town residents look at the future with a renewed hope.
