An internet-sourced image from a far-away place informs this painting. I chose the source image of deer in the evening haze of London Park for the quality of the atmospheric light that seemed to be illuminated from an interior source. The image dissolves away as it is being composed, neither absorbing nor reflecting light. The discourses surrounding nostalgia, the sublime and desire are what I explore here.
