Kainartza

A painting initially made on the occasion of an exhibition for the literary work of Viziinos - a greek late 19th century writer.
This work is part of a selection of small preparatory studies for "The Great Golden Room", a large-scale work inspired by videogames, comic books, pop culture imagery and is heavily influenced by the discourse concerning the modern cityscape and the nature of urban civilization.
This work is a drypoint plexiglas etching painted over with ink and egg-tempera and overlaid with gold leaf.
