Audioreactor
”Audioreactor” is a motion design video inspired by the work of the legendary composer and architect, Iannis Xenakis. The video includes a series of audio-reactive video sound sculptures as manifestations of sound. These are sculpted by the amplitude, frequency or the morphology of the soundtrack itself. The whole video is intended to be some kind of virtual score representation that develops continuously, reacting to music.

”Audioreactor” was featured in IANNIS XENAKIS – in Memoriam International Conference 3–5 November 2011 organized by the Department of Arts of the European University Cyprus in collaboration with the Pharos Arts Foundation.
Iannis Xenakis is one of the most celebrated composers and iconic figures of the twentieth century. He was one of the most influential thinkers of the past century not only in the field of music but also in various scientific pursuits. His music and philosophy have inspired a whole generation of composers and performers, and this conference, which coincides with the ten-year anniversary of his death, aims to shed light on lesser-known aspects of his life and work.
Xenakis is an explorer of the furthest frontiers of music, architecture and thought. His dazzling mathematical constructions changed the face of music for all time and his organic structures lent poetry to post-war architecture. Shimmering strings, thundering percussion, heartfelt voices transport us to the Xenakian imagery of planetary motions, galaxies and the grandeur of the natural world. His daring imagination empowered audiences and musicians with a passion born out of a tumultuous and traumatic life.
