The MAN

The MAN

Sculpture, Human figure, Stone, 40x35x25cm
"The Man" are the result of the constant search for God through the representation of the sacrifice.
The full nudity can be represented only in the crucifixion, a perfect sacrifice, ritual liberating the soul where the death of the subject reveals the true life: the eternal spirit.
The other works are fragmentary representations of the perfect sacrifice which the body can only be fragmented: head, arms, legs and hands are part of the sacrificial ritual such as clothes we wear and we hide and seek in some way of representing themselves becoming the priests of the sacrificial rite.
The mouth is always open screaming is ambivalent symbol of destructive and creative power, through which pass the word and breath, communication, life, call for help and support.

"The meat has become, in the Christian religion, terribly eloquent. Or the flesh look at it, you welcome, recognize, or know the faith becomes an intellectual thing, a great utopian perspective. Without the flesh the Word has a great sense."
