The library

Although this is a snapshot taken from outside the building that houses the new Faculty of law in Florence, I realized immediately that it was an almost perfect situation hardly repeatable: geometrizing composition, the artificial lights arranged rhythmically sharp, human figures appear to express a cold lack of communication. The space is real but the atmosphere seems suspended, almost frozen. The parallel with “the paint of silence" by E. Hopper was immediate. His wordsI came back to mind: "do not paint what I see, but what I feel".
