I chose this piece for its symmetry and its narrative. The symmetry was a matter of timing within a timeless landscape--waiting for the moment when two clouds of differing scale seemed to fixate on features of the land of similarly diverse proportions. As for the narrative, I feel it is a landscape shot that somehow manages to work as an implied portrait--we see no one in the plains extending to where they meet the sky, but we come away only with questions as to who lives here and the kind of life they lead.
