Davis primarily seeks out structures that may seem neglected but are a refuge and of vital importance to the community. Often they are based in areas of social deprivation that may seem hostile, threatening or full of pathos.
The effect she achieves is disconcertingly touching and powerful, creating landscapes that are a visual echo of human experience.
