The Man writes his own destiny. The destiny writes onto the Man.
If someone would ask me, as an artist, to express such a wide concept, I would only be able to stay on the surface, which is the place where flat traces and residues lie together, in order to refer to an unknown deepness, like geometric projections of lost axonometric projections and more uncertain real things.
Thus my artwork inquires the theme The Man and his destiny, requested by Saint Fedele Gallery, beginning with the planar, two-dimensional aspect of the reality, the most superficial one, that shows itself as a page onto which someone could write, whether this would be skin, photographic paper or sketching one.
In so doing, the destiny defines itself, and describing itself it becomes older and older, enriching the experience, of the flesh or the image it doesn’t matter.
The destiny is written word and primeval breath, one with the other weaved together in the Man.
