Intervento Urbano - IN MEMORIAM

Intervento Urbano - IN MEMORIAM

This work was proposed as a sculptural intervention in urban space, questioning the meaning of "place" conventional thinking about the urban environment, with reference to the concept of "no place", exploring the idea of use, access, and saturation the appropriation of public assets.
The project consisted of 18 tombstones in the production of cement-sized (70x50x30cm) with the inscription "Had no place to drop dead," to be displayed simultaneously in the courtyard of St. Peter and Museum Murillo in La Greca during the SPA of the Arts in 2011.
Improper occupancy of public spaces is generally aggregated and correlated to a social debt neglected for years, housing has always been the focus of this occupation, but if out of houses, cemeteries began to emerge, the collapse of fruits and high value jobs financial unattainable for those who can not die.
