In Casa

Few years ago I was an artist in residence at such a gorgeous place by the sea in Italy. There I took a picture of my two colleagues resting in the patio of the house. When I saw the picture in my camera I immediately knew that there is some potentional in it. Some thrill, something behind. Much later I came back to the photograph and start painting a picture of the scene. I even didnt have to change it too much, just to simplify it a little to make it stronger. Do you know the feeling that a certain kind of tragedy in your life is even more vivid surrounded by such a beautiful nature ? That sort of feeling I found in that scene.
