It is inspired to one of the last scenes of “Taxi driver”, the movie starring Robert De Niro as Travis, a character I have always considered an ideal personality for a painting of mine. He is a man who works with people, but he is an insane and unstable war veteran who can’t find his place within the society; when his psychosis gets deeper, he becomes the protagonist of an adventure of his imagination, and gets out from the anonymity to become a hero with a mission to accomplish.
