The Myth and Prophecy: two different ways of understanding death and the end of the world.
In this project compare two ancient myths, the first, the one of the Fates, depicted in a triptych acrylic on wood with gold leaf, where there are the Greek "Goddesses of Fate", the weavers, which unroll the thread of life and are present in the end.
Last work, "The Soothsayer", produced with oil in large dimensions, we are confronted with an old Mayan prophecy that foresees the end of the world right in 2012. A magician or a soothsayer, a modern Nostradamus extends his hands towards us as to predict a disaster. It might just be a mad visionary, or an old man afraid of death.
The contrast between The Fates and The Soothsayer, between women and men, all aiming at a certain end: death. The end of life. The end of the world.
