Untitled 36

Untitled 36

Instant making and editing of images has become standard practice with digital photography, leaving less suspense and usage of analogue photography, taking-away the surprising outcomes of processing film. But more than the desertion of this form of discipline, my work explores something else that is discarded just as readily - the images at the end of a roll of film.
My works spans a variety of subjects and styles, the images have not been digitally edited nor manipulated in the darkroom. I am intrigued by each image’s imperfection and flaw; specks of dusts, bright colours, discolouration, light leaks and even the use of cellophane filters and expired film. In many ways, I am engaged in a continuous process of questioning what constitutes an ideal photographic image.
