RED VELVET

The donuts are the famous American donuts: soft and delicious fried cakes covered with colored glazes. Red Velvet was created from a photograph taken at a market in New York, at breakfast time. Graphically processed to emphasize the colors, and the density of materials, translates a tray of donuts. Are not healthy but beautiful to look at, gratify the eye, a little 'less the palate. This should result in the observer a reflection on how the beauty and presentation of the dishes have outperformed the genuine ingredients. Food typical of a continent to which our everyday does not refer directly generates excitement and curiosity. The observer's cognitive processes are involved in a new experience, because of different cultural backgrounds and gastronomy. The plastic forms simple recall figures Gestalt base, the color ratio of 3 to 1 creates a discrepancy formal but, at the same time, a visual harmony.
