Sea Level

Sea Level

Sea level is the one of the most dangerous places to be in the offshore oil industry. Oil workers assigned to undertake maintenance down the inside of a platform 'leg' at sea level, risk their lives in low oxygen, pressurised environment to keep the rig operational. The industrialisation of remote places gives rise to a conflict of environmental interests with our own need to consume of energy. Yet a strange beauty is often encountered in the places where human industry meets the land and sea.
