'Iddu' ('Him'), is a magnificent 360 degree film installation which was made on the volcanic island of Stromboli between 2002 and 2007, to be experienced within a circular space (10m diameter) as a 12 screen dodecahedral installation. In brief, the work has been in part influenced by the idea of 'scientia sacra', as described by Thomas Aquinas in his commentary on Aristotelian metaphysics. It's provenance can be traced to Edmund Burke's concept of the sublime as set out in his famous book 'A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful (1756).
