These photos are part of a series which I´m working on since 2007. All pictures are taken by my old medium format camera, on film and without digital treatment. For me, a very important fact is that I´m working every day and outside, doesn´t matter if it´s raining, sunny or stormy. So I always work with different natural light, and I use objects which I make by myself. They are made of wood, cotton, plastic, canvas and other things, and I paint them in shiny colours.
Because everything is analogue, the prints always look different than what I have seen when taking the pictues. Especially in the wintertime, when everything is dark, grey and foggy outside, taking my pictures is to me more a matter of feeling than seeing.
When I get my films back from processing in the laboratory, it´s always a surprise: Over 90% is waste, but there are always some photos which reaches my soul. And I hope, they will reach the souls of others, too. So please take some time, check out my pictures and listen what they want to tell to you.
