On the boxes, abandoned in a forlorn depot, stand the red cross, symbol of the humanitary action which the Western World enacts in the Third World; at the same time a symbol that recalls the St. George’s Cross, under the insigna of which the Western World committed several massacres and submitted whole poulations.
The work, with its decadent aspect, focuses on a negative interdependence between the Western and the Third World, in which the former tends to exploit the second in order to survive. At the same time it tends to keep it alive in order to keep on draining its resources.
