from archetype to alchemy_ the heart

The artworks in this series forms part of my MA exhibition, a collection of handmade sculptures tracing the instance of the archetype in the human collective memory. The heart is made of clay and covered in foxglove flowers, later found to be a potent drug that is still used today to regulate the heart's rhythm,Digitalis.
