Europe Day
On 9 May 1950, Robert Schuman presented the proposal to create an organized Europe, indispensable to the maintenance of peaceful relations between States that composed it. The proposal, known as the Schuman Declaration, is considered the birth of the European Union. This day has therefore become a European symbol which, along with the flag, the anthem, the motto and the single currency identifies the political entity of the European Union.
