One Year Performance_VIDEO IN THE BOX N˚2
Anita Sto is a professional conceptual artist, who works with different media from drawings to paintings, photographs and stop-motion videos. From November 11th 2010, she has been engaged in a one-year performance piece, which mainly consisted in not looking at her-self in any kind of mirrors and/or reflecting surfaces.
"I undertook a research of identification and detection of the boundaries that define the Self, focusing on what is untouchable and invisible than what is not.
Along the 365 days, I documented all the impressions relative to that experience. Through a diary based on brain storming process, I collected fragments of my personal emotions; I painted metaphors and made pictures.
