LIFE FILE

The LIFE/FILE project is a reflexion about the relationship between concrete and virtual reality.
The idea is to decompose these two words using photographic rolls screen tests: every single shoot is like the pixel of an picture, the led of a signboard.The letters have been made through a sort of planned error, through burnt shoots that during the development compose every single character. The image’s topic is related to the word’s meaning: LIFE is the everyday life - offline, FILE is the virtual life - online. The connection between the two words is firstly underlined by the fact that they are one the anagram of the other one.
“Digital” and “Real” have not to be meant like oppositional concepts; they’re two distinct elements that contribute both to create our concrete daily life experience.
The work is composed of 8 lightbox (1 for each letter) each 24x34x10
