Transcedence

Through out history there is this need to connect with the afterlife, and bridge to the metaphysical in a tangible way. By placing recognizable physical items and people into this work and distorting them, I hope to represent how energy moves from one plane to another plane of existence, or non-existence. These odd and almost unrecognizable spaces create an uncanny, and ghost like atmosphere where there is a feeling of mystery and uncertainty. I'm not making a statement about the afterlife, nor am I trying to be overtly negative or positive, but illustrate ambiguity with nameless spaces and people.
