92912: broken butterfly
This photograph is part of a series called 92912 (i.e., september 29 2012) which is a reflection on the nature of language as something opaque and indifferent to be dammed in a forms remaining stable. Time is what makes the words bound to the reverberations of the times in which they were used. This process alters their sense and is represented with a sentence that is associated with different images and is at different levels of erosion or in another language.
The broken statue of a butterfly was chosen as a metaphor about what we consider important and we conserve it even if it became useless.
