The installation is a group of 5 life size prints hanging from branches I fabricated from steel using a MIG welder. The idea is that each individual is vulnerable and on display. When posing none of the models were given instructions each model stumbled or fell into the poses, revealing a bit of who they are, all the while individually trying to protect themselves; trying to hide themselves. For many of the models it was their first time nude, each individual had to deal with his or her own issues. Those issues are reflected in the drawing and subsequent prints and almost become that person’s identity. Yet the drawing does not aim at hyper realism, it alludes to the transient nature of those feelings. It is rough and loosely drawn so as to point out that it is merely a perception, a moment in time, a drawing of an idea; not the real thing.
