Anima

Anima

Painting, Human figure, Oil, 70x100x2cm
In this work I put literally naked in front of the viewer, not only physically, this being a self-portrait, but also psychologically.
I offer here my soul, the most precious and intimate of human beings, which normally keep hidden from others, but above all to ourselves.
I represent here in a brave moment of self-consciousness, fixed and scrutinizes the ball in my hand, thus creating a dense dialogue between me and the darkest part of myself.
The black ball, highlighted by material component that conveys a strong sense of reality and reality is at the apex of the voltage of the picture, in which the viewer's gaze is lost following hypnotically the centrifugal movement of the brush stroke.
