The Deconstruction of the Superhero Image

The Project "The Deconstruction of the Superhero Image" I discuss about the destruction of the identity and image of comic book superhero Batman. The concept of the project is based on the notion that Batman is the closest comic book character that can be set up in our world, the real world. I take his identity and crack it, fragment it, cover it and make it translucent, making it susceptible to forgetfulness, wiping out the meaning of superhero. I used a large spectrum of techniques, starting from image transfers to acrylic paint. I used scenes from comic strips and tore them, or mixed them up in such a way that they lost their initial meaning and fragmented the story they told. This project consists of 6 works, all of them composed on a plastic sheet and each displaying different arrangements, situations and techniques of destruction.
