STATE (Brussels, Belgium)
The three-dimensional drawing "STATE" deals with the current socio-cultural condition of the world, in which the geopolitical landscape is largely determined by conflict and resistance. "STATE" shows our world as a circular battlefield, littered with casualties: countless tiny figures, singly cut from black paper, are walking, standing, kneeling, falling, lying down, but also working together and supporting each other.
This work is installed over three days en situ in the gallery. Depending on location and measurements of walls, the size of this three dimensional drawing may vary. This piece contains about 1100 pin people.
