Light Kissing the Dark

This seems to change subject depending on viewing distance, -so two pictures in one. One take is that there is a ship sailing towards the viewer through a wild, stormy sea, with a volcano erupting top right of the image. Ash is everywhere in the air and on the sea, in the dense ash clouds burning rock scintillates, hissing into the water. There is a gap in the ash cloud above the ship where the light descends to kiss the darkness...
