katestrammenon

Installation, Portrait, Human figure, Various materials, 120x200x60cm
A face. Tangible presence of our existence, of our flesh doomed to dissolution, object among objects, being, here and now.
We are clinging to an image sentenced to describe.
We remain motionless, dazzled by the escape, by seeing and perceiving without force the variations of an instant that burns and resigns us, and transforms us no chance to fix it.
Continuously suspended between this body and the scene, the fire burns our flesh that melts, and the passage of time. The sweat, and skin flaking.
Evolution of a life that burns irrevocably towards the indefinite like a redemption, liberation from the heavy presence of Our eyes and Our lips.
We forget our bodies inadequate. What remains is a light mask, flying, moving to every wind, wrap absence, desc<x>ription of a lost identity, portrait of an imagination that takes us elsewhere.
Return to outline our traits, now undefined, lost, little tangible.
The lightness of the skeleton.

The installation involves the screening of a video (video presentation) and the installation of a sculpture / wax head with candle left burning to make the slow work of dissolution.
