Fragile en Vitrine

A former department store is now a casino; it is directly across from the train station in Kassel, Germany. The entrance windows have been filled with plastic plants, cactus, sand. Posters advertising the casino games fill other windows in brash colors. What do the fake plants in the windows symbolize? How come we are so far from nature and so lost in our illusion?
