Incanto

Incanto

Painting, Human figure, Landscape, Mixed technique, 180x65cm
Baukje Spaltro worked in 2008 in the medieval village Montevettolini (PT) in Tuscany. Here she painted the series INCANTO.
A series of 50 paintings on the enchantment into the present of today, the wonder of our time today, the current space, and the NOW.
Where everything is in place, because time seems to stand still.
Spaltro paints landscapes of life (past, present and future). The new works, often with panoramic formats, are an experience of new bright colors, with markers sketches of the human figure. Spaltro works always with a mixed technique.
For Spaltro painting is life, living is painting! Her work is her life, which decompose views of the past, present and future. Spaltro paints on, with and over time. She uses her perception of reality, abstraction compared to figuration, color compared to drawing, subject compared to energy . Everything in life is Everything in life is energy, each with its own color!Spaltro is often inspired by photos, done quickly with the cellphone, of captured landscapes with strange perspectives. These landscapes inspired Spaltro because they are strange. The charm in life, with its own views, strange and not always true, but often entchanting.
