Hollow/Static

Video, Technological, Political / Social, Short film, 3:39
The aestheticization of emptiness , through low fidelity treatment and textures, depict the hollowness of our technologically rendered self reflections. These are often reduced to derelict captures of a desperate vanity, experienced on a personal as well as global scale, upon which they inflict upon our society a form of tonic immobility. The stationary quality of the machine gaze, through the lens of a camera phone, captures the collective self reflection of our epoch, as we remain frozen in our selfie, unable to move forward.
