ISA Chierici
In this project, developed at the artistic high school “G. Chierici” in Reggio Emilia in 2009, I took pictures of many students attending different classes and aged from 14 to 19.
These portraits intend to represent a generation that is growing up at school.
The teenagers portrayed are familiar with the use social networks make of photography – which leads to an inescapable “exhaustion” of the images – but they feel awkward when having to pose, and they don’t recognize themselves in these pictures with no funny or particular approach.
