La Vie en Rose #2
La Vie en Rose is an ongoing project by Cristina Nuñez with the real objective of finding her ideal partner. Instead of concentrating on her qualities, the artist reveals her defects and weaknesses, in a temporal and geographic journey, both intimate and public, in constant relation to the crucial moments of her life. A research of salvation and redemption which is one of the principles of her work.
This is the second video of the series, which refers to the artist's life between May and October 2013, after her performance at Effearte gallery in Milan, in which she shaved her head completely. The artist continues her inner preparation for love, expressing her most extreme emotions, showing the public her most dramatic, pathetic and vulnerable aspects, showing what nobody would like to show. Thus she becomes, as usual, a speaker for others, for the public to recognize, identify and mirror themselves, in order to sublimate the pain.
La Vie en Rose will also be a web platform, in which Nuñez will continue to upload all the videos she keeps on producing, showing her inner and outer evolution, documenting her actual situation, expressing her emotions of the moment, involving the public in her project and inviting them to respond to her research, until she will find her true love. If and when she does, she will open her website to others, so that participants can look for their lovers in the same way.
The artist opens all her shows with a performance, in which visitors can propose themselves as candidates.
