' Magenta, Cobalt Blue ' diptych

' Magenta, Cobalt Blue ' diptych

Painting, Portrait, Human figure, Oil, 240x160cm
Colours are intense, contrasting, and saturated, lines perfect and precise. Womens faces, that are depicted fragmentaly, are hiding behind seamingly perfect make-up, appearing too beautiful to be real. However, their mouths are always blurring with the background of the skin tone, the eyes stay sharp, expecting to play a game with a viewer. Is it still a human being or just a doll?
Due to its big size, it has the impact of the unequivocal, being no more a faces on the canvas, but the face of the canvas.
The ultra esthetic aspect of my paintings refers to the contemporary times , to the disquieting concept of hyperreality. Hyperreality, generated by overly perfect models, which seams to have no foundation and in its essence unreal.Permanent beautifying of the world has brought us to standardization of a beauty, and in consequence brought us to indifference towards a beauty. Conteporary esthetic experience completed by the anesthetic.
How could I tell the story about complexity of human nature by showing only its exterior details? Is there any past, besides the present time captured on canvas? Is it possible to tell a story of a woman by saying simply ‘a woman'?
