Spoliation

Rayograph Fashion is a conceptual art/fashion design/architecture/photography project focusing on “the investigation of Identity through metaphors related to the Body, space structures, cultural edges and mixing languages”.
It is set up by a synergical partnership between Luigi Tolotti artist/photographer and Daniela Giacometti, architect/fashion designer.
Its photographic production boasts an unconventional representation of fashion as art. The iconography hints are related to Man Ray and Moholy-Nagy cameraless works as well as to the contemporary Double-Skin Architecture, highlighting a deep individual quest for Identity in a super-abused digital Era.
The use of the Pinhole camera underlines the diachrony between time lapse, movement, light and space.
A collective Self-portrait, performed by sculptural textile creations recalling extra-layered endo/exoskeletons, slowly turns into a Human Body spoliation, reaching the core of our unconscious depths.
